Headline: Strengthening the Diaspora: Lagos APC UK Swears In New Executives at London Gala

BROMLEY, LONDON — The Lagos State Caucus of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the United Kingdom has entered a “fresh phase of unity” following the official swearing-in of its new executive members.

The inauguration took place during a high-profile end-of-year dinner held on Sunday in Bromley, London. The event served as both a celebration of the party’s milestones and a strategic gathering of APC leaders and members residing in the UK.

New Leadership for a Renewed Mission

The swearing-in ceremony, conducted by Ladi Cruz, saw the formal assumption of office by key leaders who will steer the caucus’s activities in the diaspora. Notable among the new executives are:

  • Alhaja Gbemisola Ademola: Inaugurated as Women Leader.
  • Alhaja Aolat Sule: Assumed office as Vice Chairwoman, Central.

A Commitment to the “Renewed Hope” Agenda

In his keynote address, the Caucus Chairman, Tayo Shodeinde, emphasized that the ceremony was more than a formality—it was a renewal of loyalty to the party’s mission back home.

He explicitly reaffirmed the caucus’s unwavering support for President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, while also commending Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu for the steady infrastructural and economic development witnessed in Lagos State.

Shodeinde also reserved special praise for Tayo Akinmade Ayinde, the Chief of Staff to the Lagos State Governor, acknowledging his consistent support and contributions to the caucus’s growth in the United Kingdom.

Looking Ahead: Discipline and Engagement

The evening was not just about celebration; it featured intense presentations focused on:

  1. Governance: Bridging the gap between the diaspora and home-based policies.
  2. Participation: Encouraging Nigerians in the UK to stay active in the political process.
  3. Organization: Maintaining a disciplined and united party structure abroad.
