LAGOS, Nigeria — As the global race for Artificial Intelligence (AI) supremacy intensifies, Aptech Computer Education Nigeria has officially launched its newest career pathway: ADSE AI.
This upgraded version of its renowned Advanced Diploma in Software Engineering is designed to turn Nigerian students into “AI-first” developers, directly supporting the Federal Government’s ambitious goal to train one million Nigerians in high-end digital skills by 2030.
What is ADSE AI?
Unlike traditional coding courses, ADSE AI embeds Generative AI into the very core of the learning process. The program shifts from just writing code to “co-piloting” with AI, ensuring graduates are ready for a workplace where AI tools are standard.
The New-Age Curriculum Includes:
- Prompt Design: Mastering the art of communicating with AI models to generate high-quality outputs.
- AI-Integrated Programming: Advanced training in Python, the backbone of modern AI development.
- Model-Assisted Coding: Learning to use AI tools for debugging, documentation, and rapid software prototyping.
- Data & Cloud: Foundational training in data pipelines and cloud environments (Azure/AWS) necessary to deploy AI solutions.
The “Classroom-to-Career” Pathway
Speaking at the launch in Lagos on Wednesday, January 7, 2026, Kallol Mukherjee, Executive Vice President of Aptech Limited, emphasized that the program isn’t just about theory.
“This is a holistic pathway. We are combining technical training with structured internship opportunities and clear routes to international degrees from partner universities in the UK, Malaysia, and Germany.”
Closing the Skills Gap
The initiative comes at a critical time. With the Federal Government’s “Digital Literacy for All” (DL4ALL) initiative aiming for 95% digital literacy by 2030, private sector partnerships like Aptech’s are vital.
By focusing on Generative AI, Aptech aims to bridge the “mid-to-high level” skills gap, preparing Nigerians for global remote work and local innovation in fintech, healthcare, and agritech.
How to Join
Admissions are now open at Aptech centres across major Nigerian cities, including Lagos, Abuja, Port Harcourt, and Kano. The program is open to school leavers, graduates, and professionals looking to reskill for the AI era.
