The Moroccan Masterclass: Playing in front of a home crowd, Brahim Díaz is currently the man to beat. His 4th goal against Tanzania in the Round of 16 pushed him clear at the top, making him the focal point of the tournament’s most potent attack.
The Nigerian Resurgence: After a quiet group stage, Victor Osimhen exploded into life with a brace against Mozambique. Alongside Ademola Lookman (who leads the tournament in total goal contributions with 3 goals and 4 assists), Nigeria remains the only team with two players in the top three.
The Veteran Charge: Legends Mohamed Salah and Riyad Mahrez have both reached the 3-goal mark, proving that their clinical finishing is still very much intact as the pressure intensifies.
The Young Guns: Keep an eye on Côte d’Ivoire’s Amad Diallo and Cameroon’s 19-year-old sensation Christian Kofane. Their energy has been a breath of fresh air and they are both within striking distance of the summit.
