The long-running paternity dispute between Afrobeats icon Davido and 12-year-old Anuoluwapo Mitchelle has reached a breaking point. On Friday, January 16, 2026, a series of leaked chats surfaced, showing a heated confrontation where the singer reportedly threatened to jail Anuoluwapo’s mother, Ayo Labinjoh, over ongoing harassment.

The viral exchange, shared on the teenager’s Instagram page, portrays a frustrated Davido doubling down on his denial of paternity, claiming he has already undergone five separate DNA tests.

The Heated Exchange

In the screenshots, Davido is seen warning the young girl to stop the public appeals for a new DNA test.

“Stop this nonsense. Keep playing, and I will arrest your mother. Try this nonsense again. I’m not your father,” he reportedly warned.

When Anuoluwapo insisted she was only seeking her identity, the singer allegedly replied:

  • “I’ve done five DNA tests: Two chosen by your mother, two by me. All negative.”
  • “You’re not an Adeleke: Please stop this nonsense before it gets messy. It’s not fair on my actual kids.”
  • Legal Threats: Davido vowed to publish the test results in national newspapers and take Ayo Labinjoh to court, stating, “She thinks it’s a game. Just watch. She will go to jail.”

Mother & Daughter Fire Back

Following the leak, Ayo Labinjoh released a scathing statement through her daughter’s account, accusing the singer of bullying a minor.

  • Fake Test Allegations: She claimed the only test ever conducted (in 2014) was fraudulent, alleging the blood sample was discarded and the results were falsified.
  • International Intervention: Citing Davido’s American citizenship, Labinjoh stated she will petition the U.S. State Department to supervise a fresh, independent DNA test to ensure “zero interference” from the Adeleke family.

A Decade-Long Battle

This controversy dates back to 2013, with the first DNA results surfacing in 2017. While Davido insists the matter was settled medically years ago, the now-teenage Anuoluwapo claims the public dispute has caused her “mental anguish” and severe bullying at school.
